Handmade Fairmont Outdoor Series Fixed-Blade Knife

Our Fairmont Outdoor Series Knife has a production limit of 2,500 each and is made of D2 Tool Steel. The Fairmont is a fix blade design with a 0.16 thick spine that makes it an outstanding skinning knife.

With the short handle and a brass bolster clip the Fairmont is often the first choice for the ladies as it fits very nicely comfortably with a smaller hand size.

You can only purchase the Fairmont with the Walnut handle.  As with all of our outdoor series knives there is a small up charge for the deluxe gift box. We do this to keep the cost of our Outdoor Series Knifes as affordable as possible.  

The Fairmont’s D2 steel has a composition of  high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel known for its exceptional wear resistance and edge retention, making it suitable for cutting tools, dies, and industrial knives. 

It’s a semi-stainless material due to its high chromium content (around 10-13%), offering better corrosion resistance than many tool steels but not as much as traditional stainless steels. D2 steel is also characterized by its high hardness, though this makes it more challenging to work and potentially more sensitive to chipping than some tougher steels.  

The Fairmont’s A2 Steel is heat treated, and air cooled that provides an ASTM Rockwell hardness test between 55-59 HRC along the blade edge.  This Outdoor Series knife makes for the ultimate gift for any occasion that can be enjoyed and handed down to future generations.
