The Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Full Flex Short
The Full Flex Short trades blade length for handle. A 6 and 1/4 inch blade at 3/8 inch wide with a 65 to 70 mil spine, and 6 and 3/4 inches of handle and bolster behind it. More grip than blade, which is unusual and completely deliberate.
That long handle gives you control a longer blade cannot. For close in work, smaller fish, and anything where you are choking up on the knife and working slow, the extra grip is worth more than the extra reach. Same full flex as the Long, in a package that turns tighter.
The blade is 230 layers of 1095 high carbon and 15N20 nickel carbon Damascus at 59 to 62 HRC. Walnut handle with a 304 stainless bolster.
Production on the Alaska Series is capped at 2,500. Every Country Roads knife carries a user care lifetime warranty, non transferable.
