The Alaskan Weirton
The Weirton is a 7 inch full tang clip point with a 3 inch blade. Same footprint as the Beckley, different handle material and a different feel in the hand. Small, honest, and built to be used rather than admired in a case.
The blade is D2 tool steel, high carbon and high chromium at 10 to 13 percent, heat treated to 57 to 59 HRC. It is a semi stainless steel, so it takes weather far better than a plain carbon blade while still holding a working edge.
The handle is laminated synthetic over a 304 stainless bolster, 4 inches of handle and bolster combined. The lamination gives it a pattern with some depth to it and a grip that stays put when your hands are wet.
Production on the Alaska Series is capped at 2,500. Every Country Roads knife carries a user care lifetime warranty, non transferable.
