The Alaskan Charleston

The Charleston is one of the big Damascus blades in the Alaska Series. Ten inches overall, a 5 inch drop point blade, and 5 inches of handle and bolster to balance it. This is a knife with presence, and the drop point keeps all that length usable instead of showy.

The blade is 220 layers of 1095 high carbon and 15N20 nickel carbon, folded and forged. The two steels etch differently, which is where the pattern comes from, and no two blades come out the same. Hardness runs 59 to 62 HRC.

The bolster is quarter inch Damascus carried straight off the blade, so the pattern runs unbroken from tip to handle. Walnut scales finish it. Very few makers put a Damascus bolster on a knife at this price.

Production on the Alaska Series is capped at 2,500. Every Country Roads knife carries a user care lifetime warranty, non transferable.
