Alaskan Clarksburg Fixed Blade Knife | Handcrafted Collector Knife by Country Roads Knife
$269.75
The Alaskan Clarksburg
The Clarksburg is the long one in the Alaska Series. It runs 9.5 inches overall on a rattail tang with a 4.5 inch skinner blade, which is a lot of working belly for a knife that still feels light in the hand. If you break down game, this is the profile you reach for.
The blade is D2 tool steel, high carbon with 10 to 13 percent chromium. That chromium puts it in semi stainless territory, so it shrugs off moisture better than a plain tool steel while still taking and holding a serious edge. Hardness comes in at 57 to 59 HRC on the Rockwell scale.
The handle is rosewood set against a bolster that pairs 304 stainless with brass. The two metals catch light differently and the seam almost disappears into the wood. Handle and bolster together measure 4.5 inches, which balances the long blade instead of fighting it.
Production on the Alaska Series is capped at 2,500. Every Country Roads knife carries a user care lifetime warranty, non transferable.
