The Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Hard Flex
The Hard Flex sits one step down from the Stiff. Thirteen inches overall, 8 inch blade, 3/4 inch width. Narrowing the blade buys you a little more give without turning it into a whippy fillet knife.
This is the one to grab if you work a mix of sizes. It has enough backbone to get through a big sockeye and enough flex to follow a rib cage on something smaller. For most people this is the most useful blade in the Sockeye set.
The blade is 230 layers of 1095 high carbon and 15N20 nickel carbon Damascus at 59 to 62 HRC. Walnut handle, 304 stainless bolster, 5 inches of handle and bolster.
Production on the Alaska Series is capped at 2,500. Every Country Roads knife carries a user care lifetime warranty, non transferable.
