The Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Stiff Flex
The Stiff Flex is the heavy hitter of the Sockeye fillet knives. Thirteen inches overall with an 8 inch blade and a full 1 inch of width, which is the widest blade in the set. Very little give in it, and that is the point.
Stiff is what you want on big fish. When you are pushing through a salmon that size, a blade that flexes wanders off the bone and costs you meat. This one tracks straight and lets you cut where you meant to cut.
The blade is 230 layers of 1095 high carbon and 15N20 nickel carbon Damascus, forged and etched, hardened to 59 to 62 HRC. Walnut handle with a 304 stainless bolster, 5 inches of handle and bolster to keep a wet grip secure.
Production on the Alaska Series is capped at 2,500. Every Country Roads knife carries a user care lifetime warranty, non transferable.
